?s About the Service
What time will I be picked up?
All our Rideshare trips begin at 9am daily. Since the bulk of our services are door-door the individual pick up time varies depending on your locality. The exact pickup time will be sent to you via SMS or Whatsapp as part of the booking confirmation. For instance in Abu Dhabi city and Reem Island location, pickups are done between 9am and 9:30am. Saadiyat, Yas, Khalifa City pickups commence thereafter. Solo trips are generally scheduled to commence late afternoon mostly between 3pm and 4 pm.
How soon should I make my booking?
We urge our customers to make their bookings at the earliest. Our RideShare trips get full pretty quickly hence we advice our clients to make their
bookings sooner rather than later. It is also prudent to make your booking a day or two earlier than the last day left on your visa just to avoid any
unexpected issues. We offer free cancellations as long as they are done 48 hours before the trip commences.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellations if done 48 hours prior to the scheduled trip. If a trip is cancelled between 48-24 hours before its start, we will assess 50% of the cost to you. Trips cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are assessed the full cost and are considered as no-shows.
What kind of car will be sent for the trip?
Currently our fleet consists of late model Mercedes Vitos, BMW X series and Honda Odysseys. All of our vehicles are carefully selected to ensure the best combination of safety, security and comfort. Each vehicle is equipped with many luxury options such as leather seating surfaces and advanced window tinting to shield from the sun. Depending on the time of day and availability we will dispatch the vehicle most apt for the trip.
Can I bring a friend or family member along?
Absolutely. You can bring a plus one to accompany you as long as a separate reservation is made and ride costs are paid for them.
Are children allowed to come on the trip?
We welcome children on our trips as long as you provide the appropriate child seat for them and they are placed in it for the duration of the trip. For their own safety and as per UAE law we cannot allow children without the necessary car seats. Absolutely no children on the lap or improperly buckled in the car seats will be allowed when the car is on the road. Individual booking costs apply per child.
Can we stop along the way?
Absolutely. In general the driver will make a stop at a rest area once on the way to the check point and once on the way back. There are rest rooms at both the UAE and Oman check points as well. You can always request the driver to make a stop, if it is necessary, and he will be happy to oblige.
Can I pay by credit card?
Our preferred of method is cash however if you absolutely need to pay via credit card we can provide you with our Paypal information and you are welcome to use your credit card through them. Credit card payments must be cleared before trip commencement.
?s About the Process
How do I make sure that I am eligible for a visa run?
You can find all the details regarding eligibility in our ‘The Basics’ section. You should also check out ‘The News’ section for any new rules that relate to your trip. In addition you can always call us and discuss the peculiarities of your situation and we will be happy to help you out.
How long does the trip take?
The whole process takes around 5-6 hours from the time we pick you up. In rare instances there are delays at the border due to the computer system being down or the arrival of a huge group of tourists in tandem. Other than that the above listed time applies.
What should I bring along?
Your current passport.
Cash to cover the trip expenses and administration costs.
All the necessary paperwork if you’re switching visa status.
I entered using E-gate at the airport and my passport does not have an entry stamp, what should I do?
The day you entered via the E-gate is to be counted as Day 1 of your stay. Your entry date is automatically updated in the immigration system when
you use the E-gate facility.
What border post will I be taken to?
As a rule of thumb if you’re doing a visa run from Abu Dhabi, then we’ll be visiting the Mezyad check post and if you’re doing it from Dubai then we will be heading to the Hatta-Oman border.
Does VisaFlip have experience with all the border posts?
We’ve taken customers for visa runs at pretty much all the UAE border checkpoints. This includes Mezyad, Hatta, Ras Al Khaimah-Musandam, Khatm al shakla etc. From time to time certain posts are only open for certain activities and certain people. Hence, we generally choose the ones that are the closest and most convenient to your pick up location.
Will someone assist me at the border, during the visa process?
Absolutely. Our staff is trained to make your visa run as smooth as possible. In general we try to have our staff interact with the officers on your behalf and have you speak to them directly if it is absolutely necessary. Our staff are fluent in Arabic hence they will be happy to translate on your behalf if/when it is necessary. With VisaFlip you can be certain that you get the most hassle-free visa run experience provided by anyone in the country.
Can you help me understand the immigration rules?
Our goal is to provide you with the latest rules and regulations that concern visa runs. Hence you can call us anytime and we would be happy to assist you in any way we can. With that being said, we would like to emphasize that due to the changing nature of rules and variations that exist at an individual level, we cannot guarantee anything that is related to the official government process. Essentially, we are a transportation service and we offer visa consultation services for free so that our customers can be well informed and apply the knowledge to their particular case.
?s About the Costs
What are the costs related to a visa run trip?
In general the visa run consists of ‘Trip Costs’, which cover expenses for the transportation and the ‘Administration Costs’, which are the government fees necessary for the procedure. Currently there is an exit charge that the UAE assess and an entry fee that Oman charges for their visa; these constitute the Administration costs. For a detailed and current assessment of the actual dirham amounts that you will incur per trip please visit our ‘The Costs’ section. Alternatively you can call us or email us for clarification as well.
Will I have to pay an overstay fine?
That depends on your particular situation and the number of days (if any) that you have overstayed in the country. If you are unsure about your situation please call us prior to the trip so we can figure it out for you.
How much are the overstay fines?
Generally the first day of overstay costs 340 AED and every day thereafter costs 100 AED. These fines are subject to change as per government regulations. Please call us directly if you think you will incur any fines at the border.
How can I pay my overstay fines?
You can make the payment in cash or credit card at the border. We strongly advice that you bring along cash as sometimes the card machines do not work. This will help avoid any delays and ensure that things go as smooth as possible.
